These positive results come after Schneider Electric topped the list of “the most sustainable companies in the world for the year 2024,” according to Time magazine and the global Statista platform specialized in market data and statistics, as the Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact (SSI) program monitors the extent of progress the company is achieving in the areas of environmental governance. and social and corporate governance (ESG) by 2025.
Periodic monitoring of the company's performance in the field of sustainability, as well as disclosing financial results on a quarterly basis, play an important role in Schneider Electric achieving its eleven goals at the global and local levels, which maintains the company's continued leadership in the field of corporate social responsibility.
At the end of the third quarter of this year, Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Impact Score (SSI) reached 7.29 out of 10, reflecting the company’s continued progress on track to achieve its expected 2024 annual target of 7.40 out of 10. Schneider Electric achieved two notable achievements during this quarter:
Equality Initiatives: Schneider Electric was able to achieve its goal of providing 50 million people with access to clean energy more than a full year ahead of schedule, which comes by the end of 2025, through the company providing solar energy solutions in public facilities in Africa and India. For example, hybrid solar energy solutions were added to a large number of medical clinics in Kenya, Nigeria and India, which contributed to raising the performance of health care services provided to about two million people, and more than 700 schools in India were supplied with clean energy to serve about 120,000 people. student.
Schneider Electric aims to increase this number to 100 million people by 2030, a number that will have been provided with clean energy since the program was launched in 2009.
Empowering Generations and Providing Learning and Development Opportunities: Schneider Electric has also exceeded its goal of empowering generations and providing learning and development opportunities, having trained more than 763,000 people to date in the field of energy management. For example, Schneider Electric and its foundation collaborated with Enactus to enable university students from ten countries to develop innovative startup solutions that address social issues related to the transition to clean energy.
