Remittances from Egyptians abroad increased by 43% on an annual basis within 9 months

Arab Finance: The Central Bank of Egypt announced that remittances from Egyptians working abroad amounted to $20.8 billion in the first nine months of 2024, reflecting a 43% increase year-on-year.

In September alone, remittances doubled, rising by 108% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching a total of $2.7 billion.

In the third quarter of 2024, remittances rose 84.4% year-on-year to $8.3 billion.
