Arab Finance: Basil Rahmi, CEO of the Enterprise Development Agency, stressed the agency’s keenness to activate various means of cooperation with all development partners, especially non-banking financial institutions in the private sector, in order to implement the state’s strategy to promote micro-enterprises and expand their financing to encourage citizens to self-employ and limit the spread of micro-enterprises. Unemployment, raising the standard of living, and focusing on handicrafts and heritage due to their ability to provide intensive job opportunities.

Rahmi's statements came on the occasion of the Project Development Authority signing a new contract with Aman Company with a financing value of 25 million pounds To enhance the support available for craft and heritage projects “Harfa Microfinance Project”, where the contract was signed by Nevin Badr El Din, Head of the Central Microfinance Sector at the Agency, and Engineer Hazem Maghazi, CEO of Aman Holding Company.

The head of the Enterprise Development Agency added that the new contract with Aman Company comes within the framework of the strategy of developing handicrafts and heritage, strengthening projects operating in this important and vital sector, and helping craft project owners develop their businesses to create more job opportunities, in addition to working to empower women and help improve the standard of living.

Rahmi said that the contract signed with Aman Company in the amount of 25 million pounds will be directed to micro-projects that have documents (tax card – commercial registry) with the aim of establishing new projects or assisting existing projects to develop and expand, in addition to providing the necessary funds in the field of heritage and craftsmanship. In the productive clusters spread throughout the Republic, especially in the border governorates and the areas most in need of services, he pointed out that it is expected that about 250 beneficiaries will be funded through the implementation of this contract, especially in the productive cluster areas, which contributes to helping craft and heritage projects compete and continue in the market and shift from the sector. informal to the formal sector.
