In response to a question about the positive news about Odeh Zohr field To work, the Prime Minister said: The problem of the Greater Zohr Field was the delay in paying the Italian company’s dues, so it stopped pumping more investment, and in light of our commitment to paying the monthly dues, there was a visit to the company’s president, and an interview took place with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic. It was agreed that the rig responsible for increasing the field’s productivity will return to work, and it is scheduled that by the end of this year the main rig will return so that the high productivity of the Zohr field can be restored.
He continued: We expect, before mid-2025, that the volume of Zohr field production will return to what it was before the crisis, and this will benefit Egypt very greatly in terms of reducing the import bill and increasing exports.
