Egyptian moves to implement a package of regional connectivity projects with Europe in the coming period

Arab Finance: Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, confirmed that the government is continuing to work on Injaz Electrical connection With Greece, noting that the European Union has adopted this project as one of the priority projects of the entire European Union, and has allocated special funding for this project.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly added: Engineer Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, confirmed that detailed technical studies for the project are being conducted; In preparation for the start of implementation as soon as these studies are completed, he also requested that the Egyptian state, through the Ministry of Electricity, participate in the burdens of financing the final studies. Considering that we are partners in this project, and that Egypt will be the largest beneficiary of it along with the European Union, the Council of Ministers therefore approved this request, reiterating that this project is progressing strongly.

He continued: I would also like to reassure you that the electrical interconnection project with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is progressing strongly, and there is another project where we are making moves now to connect with Italy, and therefore we are moving to implement a package of regional interconnection projects, especially with Europe during the coming period.
