Arab Finance: Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector, met at the Ministry’s headquarters in the Administrative Capital, with a delegation from German companies and the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Cairo.
During the meeting, opportunities and cooperation mechanisms were discussed in green transformation and clean energy projects, including the production of andGreen hydrogen exportAnd it is used locally to achieve carbon neutrality and reduce carbon emissions, in a number of public business sector companies, especially those producing fertilizers and aluminium, enabling these companies to continue exporting and expanding in foreign markets.
Engineer Mohamed Shimi confirmed that the Egyptian government has an ambitious plan to enhance its capabilities in the field of new and renewable energy generated from green hydrogen, which focuses largely on increasing reliance on clean energy sources (such as wind energy and solar energy) to achieve sustainable development goals and reduce reliance on traditional fuels. And reducing carbon emissions, indicating that Egypt has great capabilities that qualify it to be a regional center for producing and exporting green hydrogen, in line with the state’s efforts to transition to a green economy and attract local and global investments, pointing out that the public business sector had an initiative in a project to produce green ammonia from Through Al-Nasr Fertilizer Company in partnership with the private sector, as well as cooperation with the Norwegian company SCATEC to establish a solar energy station to feed the Nag Hammadi aluminum complex with clean energy.
