Banque Misr stops the issuance of a 27% certificate and reduces the return on a number of other certificates

Arab FinanceBanque Misr announced the suspension of the issuance of the annual “Talaat Harb” certificate with a fixed return by 27%, and the bank has reduced the return on a number of savings certificates by 2%, as of Sunday, April 27, 2025.

These decisions came in light of what was approved by the bank’s assets and opponents committee during its last meeting, in line with the decision of the Central Bank of Egypt issued on April 17, which included a reduction in basic interest rates by 225 basis points.

The amendments made by Banque Misr included reducing the return on the certificate of “Ibn Egypt” with a decreasing fixed return for a period of three years, by 2% in the various patrols of the disbursement of the return, in addition to reducing the return on the trilogy “summit” certificate with a fixed return in the same percentage.
