Arab Finance: Cairo Bank obtained a certificate of commitment to the PCI-DSS V4.0.1, which is one of the most prominent international certificates in the field of protecting bank cards data and securing electronic financial operations, thus the statement sent on April 29.
This achievement is an affirmation of the bank's commitment to applying the highest safety standards to protect customer data, and to provide reliable and safe digital banking services. This certificate reflects the bank's ability to secure its customers' data using the latest technologies and cyber security controls, which enhances customer confidence and supports its position in the banking sector.
Hussein Abaza, Managing Director and CEO of Cairo Bank, received the certificate from Engineer Ayman Yousry, CEO of “Zerosploit” specialized in the field of cybersecurity during an official ceremony held at the bank’s headquarters in the presence of a group of bank leaders and workers in the various sectors of the bank participating in the project with the company's officials.
He stressed that the bank’s obtaining a PCI-DSS v4.0.1 certificate reflects its continuous commitment to providing advanced and safe financial services, and to follow the best global practices in the field of information security, in line with the bank’s strategy for digital transformation and enhancing a sustainable and safe banking environment.
He also indicated that the bank continues to invest in the latest technological solutions to ensure the protection of customer data and enhance the experience of banking dealing, while providing innovative financial solutions that meet the aspirations of the market.
For his part, Ayman Yousry expressed his pride in cooperation with the Bank of Cairo and his support in achieving this great achievement, stressing that obtaining a PCI-DSS V4.0.1 Certificate requires a strict commitment to the highest safety and compliance standards, while implementing accurate measures to protect electronic payment data, including developing safe systems, monitoring operations constantly, and ensuring compatibility with the latest international standards. This is what the Bank of Cairo succeeded in achieving merit, which enhances its position as a leading financial institution that takes the protection of its customers' statements a top priority.
While Hala Al -Qassar, head of the Risk Management Group at Cairo Bank, explained the keenness of the bank adult to implement an integrated framework in the field of cybersecurity, while adhering to all controls related to international standards in the field of securing customer data and the institution's data to address cyber risks and technology risks in a proactive manner and securing all digital products that the bank offers to its customers.
While Amr Ishbah, Head of the Information Security Sector in the bank, explained that obtaining a PCI-DSS certificate comes within the framework of our permanent commitment to applying a clear integrated and strategic work plan in the field of information security in line with the framework of cyber security for the Central Bank PCI-DSS is the product of hard work and fruitful cooperation among the different bank sectors.
The bank's obtaining the certificate came after a comprehensive audit in cooperation with “Zerosploit”, one of the largest companies working in the field of cybersecurity, which included various bank technology systems and applications, and the results of the bank audit showed the bank’s full commitment to all the requirements and standards of PCI-DSS V4.0.1, which confirms its continuous keenness to enhance information security and provide a safe banking environment for its customers.
