During the forum’s activities, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the federations of Egyptian, Greek and Cypriot chambers, to establish a joint business council between the three countries with the aim of strengthening tripartite cooperation and increasing the volume of trade exchange and joint investments. The protocol was signed by Mr. Ahmed Al-Wakil on the Egyptian side, President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, President of the Federation of Cyprus Chambers, and Vice President of Greek Chambers.
Al-Mashat said that this tripartite cooperation includes a wide range of fields, including energy, exploitation of natural resources, economic and trade cooperation, as well as cooperation regarding cultural and environmental issues, praising the progress in the energy sector, as the three countries have become a model for exploiting shared resources in a way that ensures benefit. She stressed that the joint declaration issued by the tripartite summit includes promising prospects for strengthening the close partnership between the three countries in various fields, especially economic, trade, investment, and energy and water security, explaining that Egypt has implemented ambitious measures to diversify water sources, preserve water resources, and expand projects. She also stressed the importance of continuing to implement joint projects, especially in the fields of electricity and renewable energy, as these projects not only benefit the three countries, but also contribute to enhancing energy security for Europe and the Middle East.
Dr. Rania Al-Mashat added that serious steps have been taken to facilitate the participation of the private sector in supporting the Egyptian investment plan in various sectors, including renewable energy, transportation, and manufacturing industries, as these efforts enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy and provide job opportunities for youth, stressing her confidence that this The approach strengthens our international partnerships and opens new horizons for cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, such as Cyprus and Greece.
