Arab Finance: Within the framework of the “Arab Day” celebrations that start on April 1 and continue until April 30, Al -Baraka Bank Egypt announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Delta University of Science and Technology in Dakahlia Governorate, in a move that reflects the bank’s commitment to support the efforts of financial inclusion and empowerment of youth, according to the statement sent on April 28.

This partnership aims to implement a series of events on the campus, where the bank participated through interactive activities, to provide banking services and direct interaction with more than 9,500 students at the university.

The initiative includes the organization of Al -Baraka Bank, Egypt for a series of educational seminars for university students, reviewing the concepts of financial inclusion and dealing with six major activities throughout the year covering the axes of the “Arab Day”, “Al -Shabab”, “Al -Falah”, “Women”, “Savings” and “People with Determination”, and other vital topics.

These seminars aim to raise the level of financial awareness among students, and provide them with the knowledge that enables them to make financial decisions that contribute to building their economic future with confidence and independence.

During the financial inclusion activities, the bank also provides a package of exclusive facilities that include opening savings accounts for young people “Start”, calculating economic activity (workmanship), and the simplified account (all people's account), without a minimum balance, as well as exempting customers from the expenses of opening the account and expenses for issuing direct debit cards for the first year.

Based on the bank’s keenness to enable young cadres, the initiative also includes practical training programs for outstanding students within Al Baraka Bank branches, which gives them a real opportunity to acquire direct professional skills in a realistic banking work environment.

The bank also works in parallel to raise awareness of the financial inclusion within its institution, by organizing internal awareness sessions for auxiliary services employees, employees of the bank's main headquarters, with the aim of erasing financial illiteracy and encouraging them to open new bank accounts and benefit from exclusive offers that include cash recovery programs.

On this occasion, Professor Abdulaziz Samir, Executive Vice President of the Banking Retail Sector at Al Baraka Bank, Egypt, said: “At Al Baraka Bank, Egypt, we believe that spreading financial culture and empowering individuals, especially our youth, is the key to benefiting from renewed economic opportunities in our society. Our partnership with the Delta University represents a pivotal step towards achieving sustainable development, as we do not see these activities merely festive occasions, but rather We consider it real platforms to enable young people to interact with the financial system and build their banking skills, which qualifies them to participate actively in the future of the Egyptian economy.

This cooperation comes within the strategy of Al -Baraka Bank, Egypt, aiming to enhance the integration of youth into the financial system, thus strengthening its location as a societal responsible financial institution, which at the core of its priorities is effective in building a more sustainable and inclusive future for young people. The bank recently issued an account for youth, which contributes to providing flexible and innovative banking solutions that facilitate them to start their financial journey smoothly.
