The National Board of Revenue (NBR) said there has been an unprecedented response to online filing of income tax returns. On Sunday (December 1), NBR reported that the number of online income tax return filings has crossed 6 lakh due to voluntary participation of taxpayers. At the same time, the number of registrations for filing returns online has crossed 1 lakh.
The NBR notification sent to the media on Sunday (December 1) said that no documents need to be submitted or uploaded in the case of online income tax return filing. The implementation of the feedback received from the esteemed taxpayers to make the online return filing process more simple and streamlined has resulted in the online return filing platform gaining wide acceptance among the esteemed taxpayers.
By using National Board of Revenue website www.etaxnbr.gov.bd individual tax payers can easily and quickly download and print their 2024-2025 income tax return online, copy of return, acknowledgment of receipt, income tax certificate, TIN certificate. At the same time, taxpayers are getting tax payment facility and tax reconciliation facility through internet banking, card payment (debit/credit card) and mobile banking. Round the clock support is being provided through call center and e-mail in this regard.
