1,220 application in Schedule Schedule

1,220 applications have been submitted to take special privileges given by the Government Bank for the re -schedule of the loan. About 5 of these applications have been initially selected. The final decision on these petitions will be sent to the banks in August.

Meanwhile, two and a half thousand applications have been submitted to various banks and financial institutions for interest waiver. Banks will settle these applications according to their own policy. The sources said the information was revealed. This special privilege has been given to the re -schedule of the loan of large industrial sectors including corona epidemics, political and naturally affected countries, consumer goods, leather and entrepreneurs.

According to sources, Bangladesh Bank has decided to give the country the largest corporate loan company to re -schedule the loan by one -time payment. Under this convenience, companies can get a maximum of 3 percent of the one -year -old grace period with one -time grades to repay the loan up to 3 years. A minimum loan of Tk 1 crore is applicable for reconstruction. But a deliberate defaulting organization will not get the opportunity to reconstruct loan (again). The matter is seriously looking at the selection committee.

Bankers say such opportunities for re -scheduled loans can have a negative impact on the bank sector. Debt loans can incite the tendency to increase the opposite. In this facility, commercial banks have the opportunity to re-schedule loans, but it can cause various problems in their cash-management.

However, traders believe that the US dollar price rise, high interest rates, corona epidemics and politically damaged many organizations have become debt defaulter. With this benefit, the companies will have the opportunity to turn around. The impact of which will be reflected in the public life of the country.

A member of the selection committee related to this, on condition of anonymity, said that 9,220 applications have been submitted. It is a long time to review them and make decisions. The topic and context of each application of the re -schedule is different. Again, many have applied for those who are deliberate debt. There are some applications that the bank itself can schedule again if they want. Some have appealed to interest waiver, which is beyond the jurisdiction of this committee. In this situation, it is a challenging thing to select the customer’s application for reasonable reasons.

Asked about this, Managing Director and CEO of Mutual Trust Bank Syed Mahbubur Rahman said that Bangladesh Bank has given this permission to the organization based on the report of the audit organization. Under the directive of the central bank, the banks will now decide whether the loan will be re -scheduled. If the loan is re -scheduled, the cash flow of the banks may be damaged.

A businessman who applied for a loan -schedule, on condition of anonymity, said that hundreds of businessmen have begun to pick up their application. His appeal was selected at the committee meeting after the race. According to the decision of the meeting, his loan is expected to be restructured. Although the two banks have come forward to restructure the loan, the lender has not yet responded to other banks and financial institutions. Because of this, the identity of the committee is not getting rid of the identity even after the selection of the committee meeting. The faster the faster you can be, the better. As the days go by, the factory situation is deteriorating. If the loan reconstruction is decided, it needs to be done at the fastest time. Otherwise, it will not be useful even if you get the opportunity to reconstruct.

Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Ahsan H Mansur said that the loan re -schedule has been submitted. Twenty -two were selected from there.

The bank tries to collect the loan loan with interest. In this discussion, customers add to the terms of interest waiver in almost all loans. The customer thinks that the bank wants to cooperate with interest. The Board of Directors can waive interest if desired. According to sources, two and a half thousand applications of interest waiver have been submitted to commercial banks recently. Which the bank will finalize itself. There is no directive of Bangladesh Bank here.

Article 1 (f) of the Banking Companies Act, 1 (f) states, “In the interest of loan discipline, Bangladesh Bank generally may give all bank company or any special bank-company or special class bank-company, loan category and reserves, loan waiver, re-schedule or reconstructing issues.”

Asked if the executive director and spokesman of Bangladesh Bank Arif Hossain Khan told today’s newspaper that the decision was taken after the scrutiny of the committee formed in the re-schedule of the loan considering the interests of the country. However, it has not been finalized here. The governor himself made a clear statement at the press conference. However, the concerned banks will work on the re -schedule of the loan. Their customers will be able to deal well. The issue of interest waiver is the bank’s own issue.
