Due to low wind speed and wind blowing from different directions, air pollution in the capital remains in the very poor category. Due to smog and fog in the morning, visibility at IGI Airport was recorded at 1000 meters at night. At the same time, due to slight improvement in the wind at 4 in the morning, visibility was 1200 meters. Whereas 800 meters was recorded in Safdarjung. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) estimates that no improvement in air quality is expected till Monday. In such a situation, the air quality index will remain above 300. Due to this, the air is expected to remain very bad.
