According to the figures that have come in the US presidential election, Joe Biden has won, but Donald Trump is still not accepting defeat. However, there is constant political activity being seen in the White House. Now there is news that recently Donald Trump was thinking of attacking Iran, but his ministers and officials had requested him not to attack.

In fact, a few weeks ago, Donald Trump had asked his top ministers and officials about the options for attacking Iran, after which US Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other senior officials asked President Donald Trump about Iran's nuclear weapons. It has been requested not to attack him regarding the program. The New York Times has given this report.

The report published Monday said Trump asked Pence, Pompeo, Defense Secretary Christopher Miller and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Malley on Thursday about taking action on Iran's nuclear program in the next few weeks.

The newspaper reported that Trump held the meeting after International Atomic Energy Authority (IAEA) inspectors found Iran's uranium stockpile to have increased by 12 times the amount allowed under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The report said senior US officials told Mr Trump that such action could escalate into a wider conflict.

Vice President Mike Pence's blunt answer to Nancy Pelosi – Will not use 25th Amendment to remove Trump from power

0

Vice President Mike Pence will not use the 25th Amendment to remove US President Donald Trump from power. US Vice President Mike Pence in the House of Representatives…

Vice President Mike Pence will not use the 25th Amendment to remove US President Donald Trump from power. US Vice President Mike Pence wrote a letter to House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi refusing to use the 25th Amendment to remove Donald Trump and urging Congress to focus on the transfer of power to Joe Biden, avoiding impeachment. Let us tell you that through the 25th Amendment in America, the Vice President and the majority cabinet have the right to remove the President from the post.

In fact, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi had said on Sunday that the House will take impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump. At the same time, he also urged the Vice President and the Cabinet to take steps to oust Trump, saying that he (Trump) is a threat to democracy. Pelosi told colleagues in a letter that the House would first vote to allow Vice President Mike Pence to use the powers he has under the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office. He said that after 24 hours a bill for impeachment will be brought in the House. Trump will become the only President to face impeachment proceedings twice.

put America's security in deep danger
Democratic members of the House of Representatives have stepped up efforts to impeach outgoing President Donald Trump in the final days of his term, arguing that the President should be held responsible for the unprecedented violence carried out by thousands of his supporters at the Capitol. House Democrats on Monday announced the start of the impeachment process against the outgoing Republican President, with a vote expected to take place by mid-week. The resolution said, President Trump deeply endangered the security of America and its government institutions. The bill proposed by four MPs said that Trump challenged the integrity of the democratic system.

Pressure on Trump to step down increases
As the impeachment process intensifies, the pressure on Trump to step down before his tenure ends. Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has compared the uproar and violence of Trump supporters in the US Capitol to the Nazis and described Trump as a failed leader who will go down in history as the worst president ever.

The proposal was also passed in December 2019
In December 2019, an impeachment motion was passed in the House of Representatives against Trump on charges of abuse of power. After several weeks of investigation into corruption allegations against Trump, the Democratic Party's majority House of Representatives in December impeached the President for abuse of office and obstruction of Congress (Parliament). However, these charges were rejected in the Senate after a hearing that lasted for two weeks.

What is the entire process of impeachment?
The process of impeachment is considered quite complex. A long constitutional process had to be completed to impeach US President Donald Trump. In such cases the whole process goes like this
According to the US Constitution, a President can be removed through impeachment before the completion of his four-year term.
– If the President is found guilty of treason, taking bribe, indulging in high crime and misconduct, he can be removed from the post of President.
– What crimes may fall within the scope of high crimes and misdemeanors. Its decision is left to the discretion of Congress.
– Corruption, misconduct and obstructing judicial proceedings are also included in high crimes.
– To remove from office, the House of Representatives can pass a motion of impeachment like a jury with two-thirds majority.
– The Senate has the power to remove the President from his post as a court after passing the impeachment motion.

How many American Presidents have stepped down so far?
Till now in the history of the US Parliament, no President has been removed through impeachment. The House of Representatives has so far passed impeachment motions against three presidents.
– Impeachment motion has been passed in the lower house against Andrew Johnson in 1868, Bill Clinton in 1998 and Donald Trump in 2019. Both Johnson and Clinton were defeated in the Senate.
– In 1974, the House Judiciary Committee started the impeachment process against Richard Nixon, but he resigned before the full House voting.

  • Citizens are advised to use 'Chakshu' to report spam calls
  • 45 lakh spoofed international calls to Indian phone numbers are being blocked by TSP every day

In recent times, citizens have been receiving several fraudulent calls, often appearing as coming from Indian mobile numbers. In reality, these calls are made fraudulently by cyber criminals operating from abroad. These criminals take advantage of Calling Line Identity (CLI) to disguise the true origin of calls, leading to problems like disconnection of mobile numbers, fake digital arrest threats, and even impersonation of government officials or law enforcement agencies. There has been a flood of events. Recent cases involving false allegations related to drugs, narcotics and sex rackets have further increased public concern.

In response to this growing threat, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in collaboration with Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) has launched an advanced system to identify and block incoming international fake calls before they reach Indian telecom customers. Is designed for. The system is being implemented in two phases: first, at the TSP level to prevent spoofed calls from their own customers' phone numbers; And second, at the central level to prevent spoofed calls from customer numbers from other TSPs.

So far, all four TSPs have successfully implemented this system. Nearly one-third of the total 4.5 million spoofed calls are being blocked from getting through to the Indian telecom network. The next phase will include a centralized system that will eliminate the remaining spoof calls across all TSPs. It is expected to be operational soon.

However, fraudsters keep adopting and creating new methods to deceive the public. The Department of Telecommunications is taking timely steps to protect telecom users when these new methods are reported. In this era of rapidly evolving technology, the Department of Telecommunications has taken several steps to make the telecom ecosystem safe and secure. However, despite these strong security measures, there may still be cases where fraudsters become successful in other ways.

In such cases, DoT encourages citizens to proactively report suspected fraudulent communications, to help DoT identify and prevent misuse of telecom resources for cyber crimes, financial frauds etc. This will also help protect citizens from impersonation, exploitation and take proactive action against potential threats.

Citizen Communication Partner Platform ( ) available on Eyewitnesses can report such calls on the facility, providing details including screenshots about the suspected fraud call, SMS and WhatsApp messages, medium of receipt, category of fraud desired, date and time of receiving such messages. An OTP based verification of the report will be done.

Chakshu facility is an important step towards protecting citizens from cyber frauds. This feature helps in early detection and prevention of potential fraud by providing a streamlined process to report suspicious activities, thereby protecting users from financial and personal losses.

Additionally, the Government has taken various measures to prevent misuse of telecom resources:

  • The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has launched the Digital Intelligence Unit (DIU) project with the objective of developing systems to prevent misuse of telecom resources for cyber crimes and financial frauds.
  • Sanchar Saathi Portal: Department of Telecommunications has developed citizen centric Sanchar Saathi Portal (www.sancharsaathi.gov.in) which provides various facilities for reporting cases related to misuse of telecom resources, as follows:
  1. reporting suspected fraudulent communications and unsolicited commercial communications (UCC);
  2. To know about the mobile connections issued in your name and to report disconnection of those mobile connections which are either not required or not availed of;
  3. Reporting stolen/lost mobile handsets for blocking and tracing;
  4. Checking the genuineness of mobile handset while purchasing new/old device;
  5. Reporting international calls received from an Indian telephone number as calling line identity.
  • Digital Intelligence Platform: Department of Telecommunications has launched an online secure Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP) to share information related to misuse of telecom resources among stakeholders for prevention of cyber crimes and financial frauds. Currently field units of DoT, all Telecom Service Providers (TSPs), Ministry of Home Affairs, 460 banks and financial institutions, 33 State/UT Police, Central Agencies and other stakeholders are on this platform. The platform, inter alia, hosts the list of disconnected mobile connections on a real-time basis along with the reasons for disconnection, thereby enabling stakeholders to discontinue the respective services linked to these mobile numbers. Including are able to take appropriate action.
  • The Department of Telecommunications has used artificial intelligence based tools to identify mobile connections taken on fake/counterfeit documents or in excess of the limit prescribed for an individual. Such mobile connections along with telecom resources and mobile handsets used in fraudulent activities are being removed from the telecom ecosystem.

The results of the action taken by DoT till date are summarized as follows:

  1. 1.77 crore mobile connections taken on fake/counterfeit documents were disconnected.
  2. Targeted action to disconnect 33.48 lakh mobile connections and block 49,930 mobile handsets used by cyber criminals in cyber crime hotspots/districts of the country.
  3. 77.61 lakh mobile connections exceeding the individually prescribed limits have been disconnected.
  4. 2.29 lakh mobile phones involved in cyber crime or fraudulent activities were blocked across India.
  5. Out of 21.03 lakh stolen/lost mobile phones, about 12.02 lakh have been traced.
  6. Around 20,000 entities involved in sending SMS in bad faith, 32,000 SMS headers and 2 lakh SMS templates were disconnected.
  7. Around 11 lakh accounts have been frozen by banks and payment wallets, which were linked to disconnected mobile connections taken on the basis of fake/counterfeit documents.

India will return 200 acres of land

Bangladesh is going to regain the ownership of about 200 acres of land lost to India due to the erosion of the Padma river on the Daulatpur border of Kushtia. This decision was taken in a courtesy meeting of the senior officers of the border guarding forces of India and Bangladesh on Sunday.

On Monday (September 16) at noon, Kushtia BGB's 47th battalion commander Lt. Col. Mahbub Murshed Rahman confirmed the matter.

According to BGB and local sources, Bibadman lands are located in Chalishpara area of Ramkrishnapur union of Daulatpur upazila on the border of India along the Padma river. About three kilometers of international border pillar from Challishpara Border Out Post (BOP) pillar 157/MP to 85/10-S area has been disrupted due to Padma river erosion and natural calamities.

Lieutenant Colonel Mahbub Murshed Rahman, the commander of 47 battalion of BGB, said that it has been decided to re-survey the disputed land and return it to the real owners.

According to BGB sources, on February 10, according to the decision of the surveyors, BGB and BSF authorities of both countries, there is a discrepancy between approximately 200 acres of land of Bangladesh inside India and approximately 40 acres of land of India inside Bangladesh. On Sunday (yesterday) noon, a meeting was held between the border guarding forces of the two countries on the invitation of BSF, approximately 150 yards from border pillar 152/7-S of Jamalpur BOP of Daulatpur Upazila, Mahishkundi, inside India. It discussed the disputed land. Besides, emphasis is placed on stopping border killings and curbing drug smuggling.

On behalf of BGB, Kushtia BGB 47 battalion commander Lt. Col. Mahbub Murshed Rahman and Roshanbagh Battalion Commandant Vikram Dev Singh on behalf of BSF led the meeting.

Lt. Col. Mahbub Murshed Rahman said, in the survey on February 10, there was a discrepancy of about 200 acres of land owed to Bangladesh and about 40 acres of land owed to India. Both the battalion commanders have agreed to re-survey it in the presence of surveyors, BGB and BSF at a convenient time next October and hand it over to the rightful owners.

He also said that due to the fact that the disputed part of the border is a river area, due to the erosion of the Padma and natural disasters, there were complications in determining the correct boundary between the two countries. There is a possibility to solve it with the efforts of the two countries. Exact boundaries will be determined quickly. No one can use the land until it is understood. BSF has been strongly protested about the killing of Bangladeshi citizens on the border.

Lt. Col. Mahbub Murshed said that the issues of non-detention of innocent citizens at the border, different types of narcotics and prohibited goods from India cannot be smuggled into Bangladesh and the people on the border cannot visit the places of worship on the border of the two countries illegally on the occasion of upcoming Durga Puja. .
