Mass beating deaths are increasing in Bangladesh. It is alleged that a mentally unstable young man died in the thrashing in Dhaka University a few days ago. The man named Abdus Shahid died while undergoing treatment at Noakhali General Hospital on Saturday night. Ten days ago, a young man named Tofazzal Hossain was allegedly beaten up in the residential hall of Dhaka University on suspicion of being a thief. It is also known that he was beaten up after being stuffed in the university canteen. Mentally unbalanced Tofazzal died due to beating.

On the other hand, former Chhatra League leader Shamim Mollah was also allegedly beaten up in a shop adjacent to the Jai Bangla Gate of Jahangir University. He died because of it. This incident caused a storm of condemnation in Bangladesh. In the name of 'mob justice', the home adviser of Bangladesh, retired Lt. Gen. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury condemned such brutality.

He also requested that no one take the law into their own hands. But even after his appeal, the public beating did not decrease. A young man was tied to a pole and beaten for singing in Chittagong area. On the other hand, before Tofajjal's death, another youth was allegedly beaten to death in Sreepur area of ​​Gazipur on the charge of theft.

In the incident of battery theft from a mosque there, the young man named Israfil was woken up and beaten up. He died because of this. A BNP leader has been accused of being associated with this incident. And, this time the incident of mass beating happened in Noakhali area.

According to police and army sources, four people, including the martyr, were rescued from Char Motua village in the east. Locals get firearms from them. Then they were severely beaten. All four were seriously injured in the thrashing. Four people were admitted to Noakhali Hospital. Abdus Shahid died there on Saturday night.

Sudharam Model Police Station OC Mir Jahedul Haque said that Abdus died due to gang beating. He is accused of being involved in smuggling and various criminal activities.

India has now restricted visas for Bangladeshis. In August, new rules for issuing visas to Bangladeshis were introduced soon after the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government. Now India is giving 'Student Visa' on emergency basis without 'Medical Visa'. However, India's home ministry reviewed more than 400 visa applications from Bangladeshis in August. India has made some changes to its visa rules since the unrest surrounding student protests in Bangladesh in July. As a result of that movement, Hasina's government collapsed in August. Until the situation in Bangladesh normalizes, visas will be issued on a limited basis, India said.

The Union Home Ministry has reportedly reviewed more than 400 visa applications from Bangladesh in certain categories in August. It should be noted that on August 5, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister and moved to India. Then Bangladesh witnessed massive political changes. For the past two months, Indian visa application centers in Bangladesh have been issuing a limited number of visas for students and for emergency medical purposes.

Officials said that most foreigners come to India from Bangladesh. An official said that visas were issued to around 16 lakh Bangladeshi citizens last year.

According to a report by The Hindu, a Home Ministry official said 434 Prior Referral Check (PRC) cases of Bangladeshi nationals were 'cleared' in August. There were 878 such incidents in Pakistan during that month. Incidentally, PRC refers to background checks of applicants by intelligence and security agencies before issuing visas in certain cases. However, it is not known how many people have been given visas during this period.

Note that India gives 15 categories of visas to Bangladesh. This includes 'emergency services'. Officials said the revised travel regime was signed in 2013 to issue visas to Bangladeshi nationals. Now visas are issued according to that policy. Holders of diplomatic and official passports can stay up to 45 days without any visa.

Countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and Sudan are placed under the PRC. However, there are specific visas for certain countries like China and Bangladesh. They have to go through an extra layer of protection.

It is alleged that many people are making Aadhaar card with fake documents after coming to India from Bangladesh. Along with the complaint, many undocumented immigrants are creating various other fake documents for permanent residence. The Border Security Force (BSF) has appealed to the Center to stop undocumented migrants from generating Aadhaar cards. BSF is also writing to the authorities to deactivate the Aadhaar registration of undocumented migrants. It is known that a suspect was caught a few days ago. After this letter is given by the Indian Border Guard. This is the first time that the BSF is writing to the authorities to cancel the Aadhaar cards of suspected Bangladeshi nationals. The BSF is writing to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to deactivate the Aadhaar registration of those caught at the border or undocumented migrants.

According to a report in The Hindu, a Bangladeshi national was arrested from Chennai in May this year. He was living there for the last 9 years. A BSF official said the man was trying to leave the country. He was caught at that time. The official said, 'We got an Aadhaar card from him. After informing the police, we have written to UIDAI to deactivate the card.' This is being done to break the relationship between human traffickers and brokers, he said.

According to BSF sources, there are instances when suspected undocumented migrants are detained at border areas and they already have identity cards with Aadhaar. According to the report, the Union Home Ministry submitted an affidavit in the Jharkhand High Court this month. It is said that BSF is going to the concerned authorities to cancel the Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving license, voter card etc. of those Bangladeshis. It has also been reported that several Aadhaar cards have been canceled by the authorities.

At the same time, the BSF informed that to avoid lengthy legal cases, they are sending back undocumented migrants in coordination with Border Guards Bangladesh. The official also said that this system has been launched since March-April of this year.
