Who will be the next chief of Hezbollah? , Who will be the next chief of Hezbollah: The name of Saffieddin, who has been with Nasrallah since childhood, is at the forefront; Qasim who teaches Islam is also in the race

Nasrallah was the Secretary General of Hezbollah for three decades, now this post has become vacant after his death.

Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli attack on Friday, September 27. Israel used an 80-ton bomb on Hezbollah's headquarters in Beirut city of Lebanon. Apart from Nasrallah, many senior Hezbollah officials have also been killed in this attack. These included Ali Karaki, commander of Hezbollah's Southern Front.

After the killing of Nasrallah, the post of Secretary General (organization head) of Hezbollah is vacant. Nasrallah became the head of the organization in 1992. He was one of the leading faces of the Shia movement in Lebanon. The death of Nasrallah, who was the most important face of Hezbollah for three decades, has dealt a major blow to the organization.

Apart from Nasrallah and Karaki, Hezbollah's top military commander Fuad Shukar (on July 30) and elite commando unit founder Ibrahim Akil (on September 20) have also been killed.

In such a situation, the big question is who will be the next chief of Hezbollah… After the killing of most of the top leadership of Hezbollah, two names are leading in this race. The first of these is Hashem Saifidin and the second is Naeem Qasim.

Hashem Saffieddin: Major Contender for Hezbollah Chief Hashem Saffieddin's name is at the forefront of the race for the next Secretary General of Hezbollah Chief. Saffieddin is a member of Hezbollah's Executive Council and a cousin of Hassan Nasrallah.

She was born in 1964 in the city of Der Kanun al-Nahar, Lebanon. Both Saifieddin and Nasrallah have received religious education together. Both of them studied together in major Shia education centers like Qoum in Iran and Najaf in Iraq.

Both Nasrallah and Saffiedine joined Hezbollah in its early days. Both were recalled from Iran during Islamic studies in the 1990s. In 1992, Nasrallah became Secretary General of Hezbollah.

Just two years after Nasrallah became Hezbollah chief, Saffieddin was also made the head of the organization's Executive Council.

Just two years after Nasrallah became Hezbollah chief, Saffieddin was also made the head of the organization's Executive Council.

For the last three decades, Saifieddin has been looking after matters like funding of Hezbollah and education of the organization. Whereas Nasrallah looked after the strategic matters of the organization. Because of this, he seems to be ahead in the race to become the next chief.

Furthermore, Saifieddin comes from a prominent Shia family. Many of his family members have been Shia religious scholars and members of the Lebanese Parliament. Saffieddin's brother Abdullah works as Hezbollah's representative in Iran. Saffieddin also has close ties with Iran.

Saffieddin's son Redha is married to the daughter of former Iranian military general Qasim Sulemani. Qasim Sulemani was killed in an American attack in 2020.

Hezbollah's number 2 Qasim also in the race Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary General Naeem Qasim (71) is also in the race to become the head of the organization. Qassim is also said to be the number 2 of the Shia movement and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Qassim was born in 1953 in the Kfar Kila village of Nabatiyeh in southern Lebanon.

In the 1970s, Qasim became part of the Shia Amal movement in Lebanon along with Imam Musa al-Sadr. He later became involved with the Hezbollah movement in the early 1980s and was among the founding members of the organization.

Qasim has been providing religious education in Beirut for decades. Qasim became the deputy secretary general of Hezbollah in 1991. He is also a member of Hezbollah's Sura Council.

Odisha FC suffered a 1-3 defeat to hosts Ho Chi Minh City FC to record a second loss on the trot and crash out of the AFC Women's Champions League at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Wednesday. The Kalinga Warriors were on the back foot right from the start, as the hosts raced to an early lead within the first minute when Nguyen Thi Kim Yenfrom struck from a corner. Why has conflict erupted between ISIS and America in Syria? Syria is a Muslim-majority country, with 74% Sunni and 10% Shia population. According to Voice of America, there was a coup in Syria in February 1966. At that time, Syrian Air Force Commander Hafiz As Assad was also involved in this. After the coup, Hafiz was made the Defense Minister of Syria.

Four years later in 1970, Hafez Assad led another coup and replaced President Salah Hadid. Hafiz Assad eliminated all other parties except Baath Party. He got his opponents killed and selectively put Shia people in power.

Hafiz Assad ruled Syria for nearly 3 decades.

According to the report of Middle East Eye, Hafiz Assad built better relations with Russia. Hafiz supported Iran in the war against Iraq in 1981 and established better relations with Iran. Hafiz Assad died in 2000, after which he was replaced by his son Bashar al-Assad.

Arab Spring reached Syria also, President pressed strictly In the year 2011, anti-government wave started in Arab countries. It reached Syria in March 2011. The majority Sunni population began demonstrating to remove Bashar al-Assad from power. Bashar al-Assad ordered security forces to suppress peaceful protests, but the demonstrations did not stop.

Many Syrian Army soldiers joined the protesters and began a campaign to remove Basad. Angered by this, the Syrian President took out tanks on the streets. Dropped bombs and used chemical weapons on people in their own country.

Organization formed against Syrian government got support from Sunni countries Sunni fighters formed the Free Syrian Army (FRA) to remove President Assad. According to Al Jazeera's report, FRA got the support of many Sunni countries including Saudi Arabia and Qatar. FRA also got support from terrorist organizations like Hamas. They helped the FRA with money and weapons.

Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) fighters from Iraq also reached Syria to remove the Sunni government from Syria. Now the name of ISI was changed to Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Civil war broke out in Syria after being engulfed in fighting on different fronts.

Russia and America also entered the Syrian war According to Aljazeera, a few years later, America also entered the Syrian war in the name of defeating ISIS. America deployed 2000 soldiers in Syria. The American army started dropping missiles on ISIS positions.

After being surrounded on several fronts and losing many cities, Bashar al-Assad asked for help from Russia. Russia landed its army in Syria and established its base there. Being a Shia country, Iran was already helping the Syrian government. At the behest of Iran, Hezbollah fighters from Lebanon also came down to support Bashar al-Assad.

Fighting started on many fronts in Syria, Kurds also formed army Fighting was going on from all sides in Syria. A large population of the Kurdish community lives in the north-eastern region of Syria. The Kurds also took advantage of this protest. At the instigation of America, 50 thousand Kurdish fighters together formed the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in October 2015.

SDF started a guerrilla war against the government to create a separate country 'Kurdistan'. Turkey also has a large population of Kurdish community. The Turkish government did not want the Kurdish community to become stronger which would lead to demonstrations in their country too. Therefore, Turkey entered Syria and started targeting the SDF.

Rebels capture many areas in Syria According to BBC, countries like Russia, America, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Israel, Turkey are supporting each other group in Syria considering their own interests. Most parts of Syria are still controlled by rebels, jihadists and Kurds.

According to United Nations data, more than 3 lakh people have been killed in Syria since 2011. About 7 million people have left Syria and migrated to other countries.

Why are US troops still present in Syria? America had said in 2019 that it would withdraw from Syria and would not support the Kurds. According to BBC report, about 900 American soldiers are still deployed. America says it is fighting against ISIS here. The Assad government alleges that the US Army, with the help of the Kurdish forces, is occupying their oil fields and earning money by selling oil.

Although America denies this. According to BBC report, Syria has reserves of about 2.5 billion barrels of oil. This is quite low compared to other Arab countries but it plays an important role in the country's economy. Many oil wells in Syria are under the control of local Kurdish forces.
