Food and grocery delivery platform Zomato said on Thursday that it would change the name of the company to “Eaterial” and unveil a new logo. The move came more than two years after Deepinder Goyal -led company started using the new name internal. In a letter to shareholders on Thursday, Deepinder Goyal said that the company board has approved the name change, requested the shareholders to support this change.
Deepinder Goyal said in the letter that if and when it is approved, our corporate website will be converted from Zomato.com to eternal.com. We will also convert our stock tickers from Zomato to Eternal. Eaterial will include four major business (yet) zomato, blinkit, district and hyperpure. This step symbolizes a change for the company, when investors were in doubt about the acquisition of blinkit by Zomato in mid -2022, since then Rapid commercial -led development has increased the interest of investors.
