A total of seven limestone blocks will be auctioned for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. The Ministry of Mines gave this information. “This is also the first auction of a mining block in the Union Territory, which reflects a shift towards transparency, competitiveness and sustainable development in the minerals sector,” the ministry said.
These mineral reserves are classified under G3 and G4 exploration stages. “This first auction of limestone mineral blocks in Jammu and Kashmir will formally launch in Jammu on November 24, 2025,” the Mines Ministry said.
