In this series, Reliance Industries, owned by Mukesh Ambani, has filed an application before the Trade Marx Registry on Wednesday (May 7) demanding to register 'Operation Sindoor' as a work mark. The registration of this term has been sought for 'goods and services' under class 41, including education and entertainment services.
Under Operation Sindoor, there is something to be seen a day after India started an airstrikes on terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, which is quite surprising. Many companies and institutions have been competing to trademark the name Operation Sindoor. The name was chosen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a tribute to women whose husbands were killed by terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April.

Meanwhile, three other persons – Mukesh Chetram Aggarwal, Group Captain Kamal Singh Ober (retired) and Alok Kothari have also applied for registration of this term. 'Operation Sindoor' was a campaign by the Indian Armed Forces to target terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir at midnight of 6-7 May. The move has been taken in view of the Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians were killed.
