Prior to the Bihar assembly elections later this year, the Center has announced a large offers for a politically important state, where it shares power with JDU of his prominent colleague, Nitish Kumar. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the establishment of Makhana Board in Bihar in her eighth consecutive budget speech. This board will help Makhana farmers to benefit from various schemes of the Center. The move will help the farmers of North Bihar and the ruling party welcomed strongly.

Sitharaman announced that Bihar is also going to get Greenfield Airport as part of the Civil Aviation Promotion. He also announced a canal project in Mithilanchal region. The Finance Minister in the education sector said that the capacity of the Indian Institute of Technology in Patna will be increased. Big gifts for Bihar have come a few months before the important assembly elections in the state. Nitish Kumar, who has made many ups and downs in political partition, but managed to stay on the Chief Minister's chair, is getting ready for another election fight.

Kumar's JDU, who won 12 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, found himself in a strong position after the BJP was less than the majority and required the support of the TDP of JDU and N Chandrababu Naidu to form the government. Kumar is now receiving dividends as the ruling BJP is making every effort to ensure victory in the upcoming state elections. The opposition reacted sharply to the gifts received by Bihar.
