The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification that export of oil -free rice husk is banned till September 30, 2025. According to experts, the increase in feed prices is a major reason for increasing milk prices in the country and banning exports can help increase the availability of products in the domestic market, which can curb rates. According to estimates, about 25 percent of rice husk extraction is used in cattle fodder.

In a separate notice, DGFT has revised the permission for waste and standard input output norms in relation to the export of jewelery and goods. It was earlier revised in November last year. The waste criteria is the permissible amount of gold or silver that can be lost during the construction process of jewelery for exports. Standard input-output criteria (Sion) are rules that define the amount of input/input required for the construction of a unit of output for export purposes. Input output criteria are applied to products such as electronics, engineering, chemicals and food products, including fish and marine products, handicrafts, plastic and leather products.

For the manufacture of jewelery and other items for exports, precious metals are imported-free imports. According to the weight, exports should correspond to the amount of imported duty-free metal, in which the waste in the construction phase is reduced. The waste criteria are strictly applied to ensure that the fee -free metal cannot reach the domestic market.
