Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited recorded a profit of Rs 262 crore in the third quarter of the financial year, which is the first return to profit after 2007. This aggressive network expansion and cost was due to customer growth run by optimization measures. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that today is an important day in the journey of telecom sector in India. The Prime Minister has imagined that the telecom sector will be the carrier of India's digital future.

Scindia further said that all our telecom service providers are working honestly towards this goal. In achieving this goal, BSNL made a profit on the third quarter of FY 2024-25, on a quarterly basis for the first time in 17 years. BSNL has earned a quarterly profit of Rs 262 crore in the income announced today. BSNL CMD A. Robert J. Ravi said in a statement that we are pleased with our financial performance in this quarter, which reflects our focus on innovation, customer satisfaction and aggressive network expansion. From these efforts, we hope that revenue growth will improve by more than 20% by the end of the financial year.

Ravi said that this profit of Rs 262 crore underlines the revival and long -term stability of BSNL. He said that BSNL has also reduced its financial cost and overall expenditure, which has reduced by more than Rs 1,800 crore in losses compared to last year. Telco stated that the revenue of its mobility services increased by 15%, while the fiber-to—house (FTTH) revenue increased by 18%. Revenue of leased line services rose 14% compared to the third quarter of the previous year.
