New Delhi. Airline company Air India said it will deploy Vistara's A320 aircraft on five major routes between metros. These routes also include Delhi-Mumbai and Mumbai-Hyderabad air routes. The Tata Group-owned airline will continue to operate one flight between Delhi and Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, Delhi and Hyderabad with one wide-body aircraft each. Boeing 777 or Airbus A350 aircraft will be deployed on these routes. Full service provider Vistara was merged with Air India this month.
The numbers of flights operated by Vistara aircraft start with 'AI2', providing passengers with a choice at the time of booking. Air India said in a statement that flights on five metro-to-metro routes will be operated with erstwhile Vistara's A320 series aircraft. There will be three classes – Business, Premium Economy and Economy class. These routes are- Delhi and Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, Delhi and Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru, and Mumbai and Hyderabad. Currently Air India has a fleet of 208 aircraft, which includes about 67 large aircraft.
