New Delhi. Air India will temporarily operate daily flights between the national capital and Prayagraj to meet the huge demand for air travel coming for the Maha Kumbh. The airline said in a statement that it will operate daily flights on this route from January 25 to February 28. “With convenient timings i.e. daytime departures in both directions, these flights will operate to various parts of the country as well as to other parts of the country,” the statement said. It provides seamless connectivity through Delhi to passengers traveling to North America, Europe, Australia and many countries in South-East Asia.
At present, regular services of Air India and Air India Express connecting Prayagraj do not operate. Last month, SpiceJet had announced that it would operate special daily flights connecting Prayagraj with Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad for the Maha Kumbh Mela. These services will be available from January 12 to February 28. IndiGo and Akasa Air also operate flights to Prayagraj from various cities.
