He said these things at an emergency press conference at Banani office of Jatiya Party chairman at around 12 noon on Friday (November 1). He alleged that in 2024, the Jatiya Party was forcefully brought to the elections by the Hasina government.
GM Quader called this press conference on the incident of arson and vandalism in front of the central office of the party on the occasion of anti-discrimination student leaders on Thursday night. Japa Narayanganj district president Sanaullah Shanu, central committee member Nazrul Islam were injured in the attack.
GM Quader said, 'A group is trying to slander, we are friends of Awami League. There is no truth to these slanders. Conspiracy is going on behind this, some intellectuals are also involved in this.'
'We are called friends of Awami League? How we participated in the election in 2008 in grand alliance with Awami League. I was a minister in Sheikh Hasina's government. So why should we share in Sheikh Hasina's fascism and injustice?'
“When I was the Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism in that government, I submitted my resignation in protest against the decision to take the pilgrims on a bad flight,” said Quader.
GM Quader said about the National Party's participation in the elections, 'Just as the government used to pressurize to go to the elections, it has been forced from the other side as well. There were death threats from international terrorist organizations. Everyone gave legitimacy to Awami League by participating in the 2018 elections. In the 2014 and '24 elections, the Jatiya Party was forced to vote.
