Want local government elections before national elections: Jamaat Amir


Bangladesh Jamaat -e -Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “We must want necessary reforms before the Jatiya Sangsad elections.” Before the Jatiya Sangsad elections, we want a local government elections. Local government is the lowest level of administration. This election will prove how much the Election Commission is able to make free, fair and neutral elections. It is through this election that the capacity of the Election Commission will be proved.

He said this in the education camp of Jamaat-e-Islami upazila and police station at Al-Falah Auditorium in Magbazar, Dhaka on Thursday (June 23). In a statement, the party's central publicity department Mujibul Alam said.

He also said that if any weakness was captured in the local government elections, it would have to be amended and elected to the Jatiya Sangsad. In order to strengthen the foundation of democracy, all elections, including the local government, must be free, fair, neutral. The election field must be flat; So that everyone can play the best role in acceptable elections.

Expatriate Bangladeshis will have to listen to the voters so that they can vote in the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad elections, Jamaat Amir added, “They are our glory.” They are strengthening the country's economy. Their rights must be given importance.

He said that in the last mercy of Allah, our brother Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam has been acquitted in the court after being proved innocent in the court. We are thanks to Allah for the sake of our registration and electoral symbols through the court verdict.

He said that those who are founded on justice and truth are victorious. We have been able to achieve victory because of being established on justice.

He directed the activists to strengthen the organizational base at the grassroots level, saying that the people of Jamaat should be strengthened by solving their problems in association with the people. We are optimistic about the victory in the next election.

He said that the party is preparing to give a candidate in the next parliamentary election, “If we all try to trust in Allah, God will surely win us.” We want to establish a healthy, beautiful, public welfare society.

Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat spoke at the education camp. Hamidur Rahman Azad and Maulana Abdul Halim and Mr. Abdur Robb of the Central Executive Council presided over the meeting.
