'They will starve to death if Bangladesh stops buying pineapple-jackfruit from Tripura'

Liberal Democratic Party-LDP President Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmad Bir Bikram strongly condemned and protested the attack on the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, Tripura, India. Mentioning this incident as very sad, he said, “If Bangladesh stops buying pineapple and jackfruit from Tripura, they will die of starvation.”

He said these things in a statement signed by LDP Joint Secretary General Salah Uddin Razzak on Tuesday (December 3).

Colonel (retd.) Oli said, Bangladesh is an independent country achieved through the liberation war. They know how to respect other countries. Our humanity is not extinct yet.

Protesting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's statement to the United Nations about sending peacekeeping forces to Bangladesh, Colonel Oli said, 'When Muslims were attacked in different states of India, where was Mamata? Then why didn't he protest it. UN peacekeeping forces should be deployed in every state of India before applying to the UN to send peacekeeping forces to Bangladesh.'

Referring to the fact that there were no attacks on Hindu businesses and temples anywhere in Bangladesh, this LDP leader said, 'I will invite West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and say that you should come on a tourist visa and visit every district of Bangladesh. Then you will understand how safe Hindus are in this country.' He forbade Mamata Banerjee to spread false propaganda about Bangladesh while sitting abroad.

Stating that all people have equal rights in Bangladesh, Oli said, 'Bangladesh is a country of peace. Everyone is safe here. Those who spread false propaganda do not want the welfare of Bangladesh.'
