There are no cases against Khaleda Zia, after August 5, 3 are released from 5


There is no other case against BNP chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. Last Wednesday, he was relieved of all the five cases against him by getting rid of the Nike corruption case. One of his lawyers Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to today's magazine.

He said that there were five cases filed against Khaleda Zia during the one-eleven caretaker government and the ousted Awami League. After the fall of the government on August 7 last year, these cases were settled. Khaleda Zia was released from all the cases by dismissing the Nike corruption case. There is no further case against him.

On January 5, the Supreme Court's Appellate Division acquitted Khaleda Zia, her son BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman in the Zia Orphanage Trust case.

The lower court sentenced Khaleda Zia to seven years in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case, but the High Court acquitted her on November 27 last year. Earlier, he was relieved of the allegations of Barapukuria coal and Gatco corruption cases.

The Dhaka court on Wednesday released eight people, including Khaleda Zia, from the Nike corruption case filed by the Anti -Corruption Commission (ACC).

The High Court released Khaleda Zia in the case of Darus Salam Police Station in the capital on October 7 last year. Earlier, the court released him on January 22 in a case of vandalism in Comilla.

Khaleda Zia was released in five cases in various courts of the country on September 7 last year. In addition, the High Court on October 5 canceled the proceedings of a sedition case. Khaleda Zia was also released from several cases in the Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Dhaka.

Out of the five cases against Khaleda Zia, five corruption cases were filed during the caretaker government. The rest of the cases were filed during the last one and a half decades during the Awami League -led government.
