Addressing India, BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu said that the people of Bangladesh will never accept fascism. Fascism has already ousted Sheikh Hasina. Tariq Rahman is the future of this nation. If the neighboring countries keep this in mind, the settlement will be quick. If not, the more you poke and prod, the more enmity will increase. It is not good for either country.
On Monday (December 2) in front of the National Press Club, he said these things in a sit-in program organized by Sushil Forum to protest against 'prevention of rise in commodity prices and deterioration of law and order'.
Shamsuzzaman Dudu said, our neighboring country has sheltered the genocidal. They are trying to create an opportunity for the killer to do politics in Bangladesh. This country (India) never wants to accept the independence, sovereignty, democracy of Bangladesh. I will tell that country clearly – Bengali nation is not a nation to bow down to anyone. If anyone thinks that pressure can be controlled, they are wrong.
He said that the nation needs unity in this difficult time of the country. Unity is needed to fight fascism. If united, it will be possible to protect freedom and democracy.
Referring to the government's more active role in law enforcement, Dudu said the law and order situation in the country is very fragile. The friends of fascism in the country are trying to create an atmosphere of chaos in the name of various programs. But the strict role of the government is very weak. The police force is largely inactive. The government should play a more active role in law enforcement.
BNP Chairperson Advisor Habibur Rahman Habib, Jatiya Gontantrik Party (JAGPA) presidium member Asaduzzaman Asad, Krishak Dal leader SK Sadi and other leaders and activists of various levels of the organization also spoke in the program under the chairmanship of Sushil Forum President Mohammad Zahid.
