60-member central committee of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir has been formed. In this, 27 people have been given the responsibility of editors of different departments. 46 out of 60 members of the Executive Council are elected by direct vote. On the other hand, Central President Zahidul Islam consulted with the elected executive council members and nominated 14 people as members of the executive council.
These things were informed in a circular sent by Azizur Rahman Azad, Central Publicity Secretary of the organization on Monday morning (January 20).
Sibgatullah, the former president of the Dhaka University Students' Club, has been given the responsibility of the secretary of the central office of the committee. And the responsibility of central publication editor has been given to the former president of DU Shibir, Sadiq Qaim.
Apart from this, Azizur Rahman Azad, Information Technology Secretary, Eng. Nazmus Sawad Rafi, International Editor Mu. Mu'tasim Billah Shahedi, literary editor Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Finance Secretary Touhidul Haque Michbah, Human Resource Management Secretary Saidul Islam, Student Rights Secretary Amirul Islam, Dawah Secretary Hafez Md. Dr. Michabahul Karim, science editor. Usamah Rayan, Foundation Secretary Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan, Student Welfare and Social Services Secretary Hafez Dr. Rezwanul Haque, Art and Culture Secretary Hafez Muhammad Abu Musa, School Activities Secretary. Noman Hossain Nayan was elected.
Apart from this, Education Secretary Abdul Mohaimen, Planning and Development Secretary Nahidul Islam, College Activities and Business Education Secretary Md. Shahidul Islam, HRD Editor Sharif Mahmud, Debate Editor Harunur Rashid Rafi, Madrasa Activities Editor Alauddin Abir, Research Editor Golam Zakaria, Library Editor Muhammad Fakhrul Islam, Information Editor Abu Syed Suman, Human Rights Editor Md. Sifat Ul Alam, Law Secretary Arman Hossain and Central Sports Secretary Eng. SM Tanvir Uddin was elected.
The statement said that the formation of all branches, executive councils and central committees of the Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir for the 2025 session of the country has been completed. On December 31, the central president was elected and the secretary general was nominated for the 2025 session by direct vote of the members across the country. After that, the committee formation of member branches, partner branches and district branches was completed simultaneously across the country.
Later, on January 14 and 15, two-day voting for the election of executive council members was held. According to the constitution of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, 46 executive council members were elected by direct vote of the members.
In the first general session of the Central Executive Council held on January 16 and 17, Central President Zahidul Islam nominated 14 more Executive Council members in consultation with the elected Executive Council members. Besides, he completed the formation of the Central Secretariat on the advice of the Executive Council.
