Systematically creating communal incitement: the democracy stage


The central leaders of the Democracy Forum said that the spread of instability in the country is being planned, communal incitement is being created. Manch leaders strongly condemned and protested the killing of young lawyer Saiful Islam in Chittagong based on the arrest of ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Brahmachari.

Manch leaders said these things at a press conference held at the central office of Nagarik Oikya on Topkhana Road in the capital on Wednesday (November 27).

They said, there is a possibility of creating communal tension around this incident. By capitalizing on these incidents, efforts are being made to label Bangladesh as a terrorist state worldwide. They urged the people of the country not to get involved in any communal incitement.

They angrily say that the Indian government and a section of its media have intensified their anti-Bangladesh hate activities after the uprising. The leaders urged the countrymen to face the situation with patience, tolerance and harmony.

In the press conference, the leaders said that there is no opportunity for the government to avoid responsibility in the ongoing unrest of the country. There is not only an administrative solution to the existing crisis, but the crisis has to be solved politically. They said, for that, the government should come forward to take the people of the country into confidence, including the political parties.

They said that many arrangements are underway to make the interim government fail and ineffective, with which the fallen fascist forces and various evil circles are connected. Keeping these things in mind, the government has to announce the roadmap for democratic transition of Bangladesh with wisdom and foresight.

The central leaders said that inciting propaganda against Prothom Alo and Daily Star, violent activities are part of suppressing the voice of free and independent journalism. They said, no democratic state can tolerate attacks on media.
