BNP Standing Committee member Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed commented that Sheikh Hasina now wants to live in another country by sheltering Trump's image.
He said these things at a discussion meeting titled 'Historic November 7: Martyr President Ziaur Rahman and Development of Bangladesh' organized by Zia Parishad at Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of National Press Club on Sunday (November 10).
Hafiz Uddin Ahmed said, 'How cruel Hasina is, how many students she has killed. How ruthless they were for state power. Allah's wrath fell on them. Now he wants to live in another country sheltering Trump's picture. Don't come to Bangladesh, talk so big… Come to Bangladesh. Now Ziaur Rahman is gone, his party BNP is still there. He has Bangladeshi nationalism. We will all protect the independence and sovereignty of this country.
He said, the last 16 years have been a difficult time for us. In Bangladesh we criticized the Awami League government. But how cruel they are, their true form was revealed during the anti-discrimination student movement. However, for the last 17 years, BNP and its affiliates have been engaged in a tough movement. Many have been martyred, martyred.
Commenting that Awami League did not give proper status to Ziaur Rahman, Major Hafiz said that the martyred president is a rare personality of Bangladesh, the name of a legend. The East Bengal Regiment emerged as a savior during the crisis of the Bengalis. And the independence war was started by Major Ziaur Rahman, the deputy commander of the 8th East Bengal Regiment. But Awami League has never given proper status to that great leader Ziaur Rahman, who built the resistance struggle in that difficult time, called the soldiers, called the students, started the freedom struggle. They continued the independence movement described earlier by calling the independence movement the independence movement.
He also said that Ziaur Rahman is called the leader of the cantonment. But he was a patriotic democrat at heart. He was the elected president of this country.
This leader of BNP said that Ziaur Rahman has proved with his life and behavior how the character of a freedom fighter should be. He is such a freedom fighter, who after running the state for six years found that he has no inch of land, no money in the bank. Where else can Bangladesh find such an honest, unsophisticated statesman. Such personalities are rare to find in the Asian continent in recent times.
Professor Dr. Vice Chairman of Zia Parishad. Under the chairmanship of Shafiqul Islam, BNP Chairperson's advisor Advocate Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Executive Committee member Advocate Rafiq Shikder, Zia Parishad Secretary General Dr. Intaj Hossain and others.
