Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP, has given an amendment to the comments made about the removal of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's photo from Banga Bhavan. He made this statement to the media through a press release on Tuesday.
It says – 'Today, November 12, 2024, Tuesday at 10-30 am in the ground floor of BNP's central office, a news is being published online that “Sheikh Mujib's photo should not have been removed from Bangabhaban” in the speech of the chief guest at the free medical camp and blood donation program organized by BNP.'
It is also said, 'My attention was drawn to a news published today in the media about 'Sheikh Mujib's picture has been taken down from Bangabhaban'. I thought Sheikh Mujib's picture was taken down from the Durbar Room of Banga Bhavan where all the presidents' pictures are kept. Originally the picture was moved from another office in Banga Bhavan.'
Rizvi said in a statement, “Sheikh Hasina's fascist regime has made it mandatory to keep pictures of Sheikh Mujib.” Fascist laws can have no effect. The office-court should not bear the mark of maladministration everywhere. I am sorry for the unsolicited statement.'
