General Secretary of Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BASD) Comrade Bajlur Rashid Feroze in a statement attacked various newspaper offices including Prothom Alo, Daily Star; Attacks and vandalism in various educational institutions, student clashes and mob trials, violence, extreme deterioration of law and order situation expressed deep concern.
In a statement given to the media on Tuesday (November 26), Feroze said that the people of the country brought down the fascist Awami government for the right to express opinion and dissent. However, a group of terrorists created chaos in front of Daily Star and Prothom Alo offices in Dhaka and attacked and vandalized the offices of Prothom Alo in Bogra and Rajshahi. Which is contrary to the aspirations of the students-workers-masses. This cannot be accepted in any way.
“The proper role of the government against these miscreants is not seen. The miscreants would not have dared to attack the press if the interim government had given exemplary punishment to the criminals involved in mob killings, including vandalism of statues, temples and shrines, soon after the uprising.
'Not only that, in recent times, students of various educational institutions have been involved in clashes, vandalism and hundreds of injuries have been admitted to the hospital. The current interim government is unable to control. This is a matter of deep concern. This failure of the interim government is not acceptable in any way.'
Bajlur Rashid said, 'Students who have forgotten all differences and fought hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder unitedly to oust the fascist Hasina government; What has happened after the mass coup is that the students are clashing with each other over small details, if no remedial measures are taken now, the friends of the fascists at home and abroad will get the opportunity to plot and as a result there may be a danger of ruining the fruits of the mass coup.'
In the statement, Feroze demanded to bring relief to public life by identifying the criminals involved in these destructive acts and bringing them to justice, exemplary punishment and taking strict measures to control the law and order situation.
