None of the government's decisions are in line with people's wishes: Golam Parwar

Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Mia Golam Parwar said, 'We think that all the decisions, all policies, all roles of this interim government should reflect the will of the people. But three months are passing. We are noticing that unfortunately some of the policies and decisions of the interim government are not in line with the people's wishes. creating confusion in the public mind.'

He said these things in his special guest speech at the annual general meeting of the Dhaka Journalist Union (DUJ) at the National Press Club in the capital on Monday. Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman spoke as the chief guest on this occasion.

Addressing the interim government, Golam Parwar said, 'You have formed many committees for reforms, taken many steps. They will report by December. You will then implement the reforms. But suddenly the search committee was formed. Is there a reflection of public desire? A search committee was formed before the Electoral Reforms Commission report came out. We are also looking at that positively. But you formed a search committee using the method left by Awami League.'

He further said to the government, 'Let us not make any more mistakes. 15-17 years we made mistakes again and again. Many times the political leadership has gone wrong, the policy making has gone wrong. After today's blood donation, you have taken responsibility as a result of public demand. We don't want to see any more mistakes like that from you.'

Calling for national unity, the Secretary General of Jamaat said, 'We need a national unity to pay the blood debt, the basis of which will be the spirit of the August 5 revolution. While all parties may have differences of opinion, there was no difference of opinion on August 5. Our golden boys gave blood. The national election is coming up, here too there should be such a unity of thought among everyone that through that unity we can eliminate Awami fascism politically.'
