No party can be formed from power: Abdus Salam

Regarding the plan to form a new party who led the July movement, BNP chairperson's adviser Abdus Salam said, “It is clear that no party can be formed from power. In order to form a party, you must first hand over the responsibility of the government. '

He said this while addressing the chief guest at a civic rally organized by 'My Country My Right' in front of the National Press Club on Saturday.

Abdus Salam said, 'From power cannot be participated in elections. If you want to participate in the elections, to form a party, first give up the responsibility of the government. If Yunus thinks he needs to form a party, then he will also get out of the government, then the party. '

He added, 'I fought for 3 years for the vote. Today it appears that the present government is voting. The reason is that if the vote or the BNP will come to power. Will the BNP be forced to come to power? If the people are elected if the vote, where is the objection of the Yunus government? '

The BNP chairperson's adviser said, “The people of the country should not play chimini. After independence, when a party was saying this country is mine, this man is my father, the father of Bangabandhu nation. After the killing of Bangabandhu, when the tank is passing by the road, people have given a flower wreath to the tank. '

Referring to the imposition of VAT, he said, “Those who have looted thousands of rupees from the bank have not yet been caught, the opposite is being taxed on people. Who has given you the right to tax on the people? You have been set up to give power to the elected government by a neutral election. Please do not hand over the country to anarchy. '

Also present at the rally – my country is my rights chairman Sheikh Sakhawat Tanjin, acting general secretary. Sohail Ahmed.
