BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia met with party acting chairman Tariq Rahman's foreign affairs advisor Humayun Kabir. On Friday (November 15) evening, this leader, who holds the rank of advisor to the BNP Chairperson, visited Khaleda Zia's Gulshan residence. After the meeting, Humayun Kabir said, 'I originally went to inquire about the health of Begum Khaleda Zia.'
Stating that the morale of the BNP chairperson is strong even though she is sick, he said, 'Begum Khaleda Zia is proud of the countrymen as the people unitedly brought down the dictator Hasina.'
Humayun Kabir said, 'The people of the country consider him as a symbol of democratic struggle, he was the inspiration of the countrymen in the struggle against the dictator Hasina.'
After almost 15 years, Humayun Kabir came home from London on November 9. The Awami League government did not allow Humayun Kabir to come to the country as he played an important role in shaping global public opinion against Sheikh Hasina.
