The Armed Forces Department has invited BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to the Chief Adviser's office for a reception at Senakunj on November 21.
On Tuesday (November 19) night, Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Army, Lt. General Mizanur Rahman Shamim and Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Department Lt. It is said that General ASM Kamrul Ahsan delivered this invitation letter to the BNP Chairperson.
When asked about this, BNP Standing Committee member and chairperson's personal physician Prof. AZM Zahid Hossain said, 'He came to his wife's house and met former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and gave this invitation letter.'
At around 10:30 PM Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP's media cell, said, “Earlier around noon, BNP's Acting Chairman Tarek Rahman, Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir along with members of the Standing Committee and senior leaders sent invitation letters in the name of 26 leaders to the chairperson's office in Gulshan, chairperson's private secretary Abdus Sattar. The army officers have given it to Sahib.'
Senakunj chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will be present as the chief guest.
