Jatiya Party Secretary General and former State Minister Advocate Md. Mujibul Haque Chunnu and his wife Roxana Quader have been banned from departure. Judge Mohammad Zakir Hossain of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge and Senior Special Judge Mohammad Zakir Hossain issued the ban on Wednesday.
The ban was issued in accordance with the Anti -Corruption Commission (ACC) application, court sources said.
According to the petition, Mujibul Haque, a former member of Kishoreganj-1 constituency, and his APS Awami League's youth and sports central sub-committee member Amirul Islam Bablu, extortion, tender trade, land grab, various irregularities and corruption and various government development projects. A investigation is underway to acquire non -income wealth in the name of family members, including trafficking abroad and in the name of family members. The search is very important in preventing money laundering in the interest of the state.
The petition also said that during the search, secret sources said that Mujibul Haque Chunnu and his wife Roxana Quader were trying to flee abroad. When they go abroad, the search activities are likely to be prolonged or disrupted. In this situation, they need sanctions to departure.
