The anti-fascist student-labor crowd set fire to the central office of the Jatiya Party (Japa) in Vijayanagar of the capital. The team's office in Kakrail was set on fire on Thursday (October 31) evening.
It is reported that a torch procession was held under the banner of 'anti-fascist students-labour-people' at Raju Sculpture area of ​​Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday evening. At the end of the rally, they came to the Vijayanagar area of ​​Kakrail to surround the office after calling the Zapa 'Awami League's friend'. During this time, there was a clash between the students and the activists of the party. Several people were injured in this incident.
Harun Rashid, organizing secretary of the Students' Rights Council, said, “We started the march with the anti-discrimination students from TSC of Dhaka University at 6 in the evening. The procession is scheduled to conclude with a short rally in front of the Vijayanagar water tank. However, as soon as the procession went in front of the central office of the National Party, it was attacked. About 20 people of our team were injured.
In this regard, the joint general secretary of the People's Rights Council, Hasan Al Mamun, said that Jubo League and Chhatra League workers were already in the central office of Jatiya Party. As soon as the procession arrived, they threw brickbats. Attacked with sticks and sticks. Leaders and workers of Jatiya Party joined them. Later, the angry students united and started resistance.
On the other hand, when two units of the fire service arrived around 7:50 pm to put out the fire, the students were forced to return to the barrier. During this time, the students started chanting different slogans.
A few minutes later, the fire service personnel entered to douse the fire with the help of the police. The fire was brought under control within 5 minutes.
