Bangladesh Jamaat -e -Islami called for immediate withdrawal of the decision by protesting the increase in the price of soybean oil at Tk 5 per liter and the price of gas in the new industry by 5 percent per unit.
Jamaat -e -Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar said this in a statement sent by Mujibul Alam sent by the party's central publicity department on Tuesday (April 7th).
In the statement, Mia Ghulam Parwar said that the price of soybean oil at the customer level is Rs. 5 per liter and the government's decision to increase the price of gas per unit by 5 percent in the new industry is unreasonable. Due to the increase in the price of gas per unit in the new industry, the price of gas per unit in the new industry will now have to pay 5 rupees instead of Tk.
Referring to the government's decision to the new industrial entrepreneurs, he said that after the political change of August 5, Subatas was flowing in the economy of the country. There has also been hope among the industrial entrepreneurs of the country. During the past government, there was no industrial friendly environment and new industry did not develop. Many people are currently taking initiatives to set up new factories. In this situation, the decision to increase gas prices by 5 percent in the new industry is nothing but the government's immorality. This will discourage new entrepreneurs. Therefore, the government should withdraw this decision in the interest of development of the new industry.
He also said that the government's decision to increase the price of soybean oil by 5 liters will increase the misery of the poor people. Soybean oil is usually used by poor people for cooking. This increase in gas prices will cause the misery of ordinary and low income people. Therefore, the government should immediately withdraw from this decision to increase the price of soybean oil.
