The party alleged that Insaniat Biplab Bangladesh, an Islamist party registered with the Election Commission, was prevented from holding a rally in front of the National Press Club. Allama Imam Hayat, chairman of the party, made this complaint in a press conference at the party's central office in Gulshan on Saturday (November 30) afternoon.
He said that a pre-arranged rally was supposed to be held in front of the National Press Club on Saturday (November 30) at noon.
Allama Imam Hayat protested against the closure of the rally and said, “The government has proven itself as a dictatorial fascist who killed democracy and deprived the citizens of the human revolution without allowing a peaceful rally.”
He said, 'Fair elections are impossible under the interim rulers unless all parties are allowed to speak and carry out peaceful programmes. Democracy will be overthrown and the state will be seized only through farcical elections.'
The chairman of Insaniat Biplab Bangladesh said, 'Peaceful assembly program is a constitutional and democratic right. By taking away the freedom of speech and giving the state patronage to the anti-democratic party only in the name of religion, the ruling class is biased towards militancy and is pushing towards the destruction of the country-religion, life-democracy. If the people are not recognized as the owners of the state, the liberation of the state and the people will not come through them; Rather, the state and democracy will only be destroyed through them.'
