India's brokers must be suppressed with a strong hand. We are ready to stand against those who have tried to make Bangladesh a part of India – Zainul Abdin Farooq, adviser to the BNP Chairperson, said to the interim government.
He said this at a rally organized by the Democratic Party to demand the announcement of the election roadmap in front of the National Press Club on Saturday (November 30).
Zainul Abdin Farooq said, 'Awami League has always been India's broker. They could not prosecute Felani's murder. Couldn't fetch a fair share of water.'
Urging the interim government to immediately announce the roadmap for the elections, he said, 'Elections are the demands of the people and democratic parties. People's representative government is needed to stop the anarchy that fascism Awami League is trying to do in the country. In addition, the administration must suppress them with a strong hand.'
BNP chairperson's advisor said, 'Awami League's friends who have established bakshals, robbed banks, looted common people's money and returned home to Canada, they should be brought to justice immediately.'
Addressing the chief adviser, the former Chip Whip of the opposition party said, 'Your government was formed in exchange for the blood of the students. Why should the lawyer accept martyrdom? Why the egg syndicates have not been arrested? Why has not action been taken against the syndicates of daily necessities including onions?'
Farooq said, 'People of the country have started raising these questions. You (interim government) should not be weak. You (Dr Yunus) are not a party government. You have to do your work thinking about the people of the country without looking at anyone. The people of the country are with you.'
Under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Democratic Party President SM Shahadat Hossain and Organizing Secretary Mir Amir Hossain Amur, the gathering was also addressed by National People's Party President Fariduzzaman Farhad, Labor Party Chairman Mustafizur Rahman Iran, BNP Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarfat Ali Sapu, Organization General Secretary Saiful Alam. etc.
