India treated Bangladesh like a dependent state: Rizvi

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has commented that India is indulging in propaganda without being able to accept the fall of Sheikh Hasina. He said, “The downfall of Sheikh Hasina is burning in their (Indian) hearts, the ruling BJP of India and its allies are indulging in false propaganda.”

He said these things in a press conference at BNP's central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Sunday.

Rizvi said, 'India used to consider Bangladesh as a dependent state. That kingdom is lost. For the past 15 years, India has tried to take over Bangladesh practically, keeping Hasina in front.

He said that after Sheikh Hasina went to India in the face of the bloody coup of students, an incredible golden door of peace and relief has been opened in the country. All over the country there is public excitement about the possibility of transition to democracy. A decade and a half of jagged stones have been removed from people's shoulders.

This leader of BNP said that India's current statement about Bangladesh is surrounded by a fog of lies. There is not even a drop of human morality in them. For this reason, they have a negative view of the people and national leaders of the country who believe in the people of Bangladesh's own history-tradition and natural development.

Rizvi said, there was no reason to break the communal harmony. But massive propaganda of destruction of communal harmony is being carried out from neighboring countries. India has stepped up to portray the image of Bangladesh negatively in the international arena.
