National Democratic Movement (NDM) Chairman Bobby Hajjaz commented that the constitution of 1972 was not approved by an elected parliament of Bangladesh, but by a Constituent Assembly consisting of representatives elected in the general elections of Pakistan in 1970.
He said, Awami League exposed their party agenda and political predicament to establish Mujibism here; Which has been fulfilled by Sheikh Hasina's monstrous fascist government in the last 15 and a half years.
He said these things at a media briefing on the proposals for constitutional reform in Banani, capital, on Saturday (November 16).
Bobby Hajjaz said, we want to see the necessary clauses and regulations to bring about balanced changes in the power structure of the state in the amended constitution, which will contain the three principles of the liberation war, realize the dream of the 24th revolution and stop fascism forever.
He also demanded to decentralize power and make any section of the constitution amendable to prevent the rise of fascists in the future.
