BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's residence went to the party's standing committee members. Members of the party's standing committee arrived at Begum Zia's residence before 8 pm on Sunday (January 5).
Standing committee member Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Zamir Uddin Sarkar, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Salauddin Ahmed, Selima Rahman, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram entered BNP Chairperson's Gulshan residence in Feroza. Then the party's general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku joined.
This meeting is being held in the context of BNP Chairperson's foreign journey. Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the media cell of the party, said that the members of the standing committee entered one by one before 8:30 pm.
According to party sources, many have met since Begum Zia was released on August 5, the day after the change of government. However, this is the first time that the members of the standing committee are participating in the meeting together. The members of the standing committee met together on the last Eid al-Adha.
LDP Chairman Oli Ahmad Bir Bikram met Khaleda Zia on Sunday night. Joint Secretary General of the party Salah Uddin Razzak said that Khaleda Zia will leave Dhaka for London on Tuesday (January 7) at 10 pm in an air ambulance of Qatar Airlines.
