BNP Standing Committee Member Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said that BNP is not only talking about itself. BNP talks about the state, talks about the future.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by the Nurses Association of Bangladesh (NAB) on the occasion of the National Revolution and Solidarity Day on November 7 at Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club on Sunday (November 24).
Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said that many people say that BNP wants early votes. BNP has always been and is with the democratic process. BNP is never a friend of dictatorship. BNP understands the mind of common people. Common people are eagerly waiting to exercise their rights. That's why BNP says that elections should be held as soon as possible. The sooner the elections are held, the sooner the chaos will end. The country will move forward. In today's reality it (choice) is the greatest necessity.
He said, the real ownership should be returned to the people. Democracy must be put in its rightful place. That is, people will think about who they will vote for. People will decide who will rule the country. Reform must happen. To carry out reforms, people's wishes must be implemented. The constitution is a reflection of the will of the people. You and I don't have to do everything. Voting is an opportunity to express what people want and their opinions.
Dr. Zahid said, our leader Begum Khaleda Zia gave the program 'Vision 2030' in 2017. After that, our leader Tariq Rahman gave a 27-point program to repair the state in December 2022. And on July 23, he announced a reform program from 27 points to 31 points, including all pro-democracy political parties. BNP is not only talking about itself. BNP talks about the state, talks about the future.
Dr. Zahid said that the situation prevailing in Bangladesh since August 5, many conspiracies are going on from inside and outside the country. The people of the country must be vigilant to stop this conspiracy. Laundered money should be brought back from the country. Those who have disappeared, killed our brothers – everyone should be tried according to the existing laws of this country.
The member of this standing committee of BNP said, if we have to talk about someone after Begum Rokeya, the beacon of women education in this country today, it is Begum Khaleda Zia. The reason for this is that Begum Khaleda Zia gave the first book for women education. Khaleda Zia has also created the opportunity to study by making schools free of charge, the Ministry of Women Affairs. That is, Shahid Zia, Khaleda Zia and BNP are involved behind all the goodness and good things that this country has.
