Bangladesh needs to be reformed every day as long as it exists: Manna

As long as Bangladesh exists, it needs to be reformed every day, said Mahmudur Rahman Manna, president of Nagrik Oikya.

He made this comment in a round table meeting organized at Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mia Hall of National Press Club on Saturday (November 16).

Manna said, reform is needed every day as long as Bangladesh exists. If you renovate something every day, it gets better every day.

He said, I respect Abu Saeed as much as I am impressed, I also respect those who have protested from abroad. I demand from the government that expatriates should be given due respect. Arrangements should be made so that they can move smoothly after coming to Bangladesh.

He also said that people fall into many syndicates while going abroad. Such syndicates have to be broken—that is, with a lot of money and a lot of torture and deprivation. The government should make arrangements so that expatriates can improve their lives.

The round table meeting was attended by Ruhin Hossain Prince, general secretary of the Communist Party of Bangladesh, journalist Sohrab Hasan, journalist Masud Kamal, journalist Golam Mortoza, journalist Ashraf Kaiser, political analyst Dr. Shanta Shakhawat, Jonaid Saki, Coordinator of Mass Solidarity Movement.

Also present were President of Public Rights Council Nurul Haque Noor, Organizing Secretary of Jatiyatabadi Gontantrik Party Mir Amir Hossain Amu, Chairman of Bangladesh National Human Rights Association. Manjur Hossain Isa and others.
