Bangladesh LDP, one of the partners of the 12-party alliance, strongly demanded that the day be brought back as a national day on the occasion of the 'Historic 7th November Revolution and Solidarity Day'.
Bangladesh LDP Chairman Shahadat Hossain Selim and General Secretary Tamiz Uddin Tito claimed this in a joint statement sent to the media on Friday (November 1) afternoon.
According to the statement, democracy was restored in Bangladesh by November 7. Ziaur Rahman, the herald of independence, came to power and established democracy in the country, gave economic freedom, and took the country to a place of honor. He made a revolution to make this country a modern and developed country.'
Bangladesh LDP Chairman Shahadat Hossain Salim and Secretary General Tamiz Uddin Tito said, 'Ziaur Rahman is an integral part of the history of Bangladesh. He was a statesman who believed in promoting democracy and freedom. 7 November is significant for the nation. On November 7, the nation saw the light of hope under the leadership of Ziaur Rahman. He has shown the implementation of the establishment of multi-party democracy.
The statement said, “The spirit of November 7 is to ensure multi-party democracy, the benefits of freedom including economic liberation, peace and order, equality, justice and human dignity.”
Bangladesh LDP Chairman Shahadat Hossain Salim and General Secretary Tamiz Uddin Tito said, “The Awami Fascist government came to power and canceled the 'Historic November 7 Revolution and Solidarity Day'.” With this cancellation, the party has proved its baksali-principle. For this reason, the current interim government should bring back the day that was canceled by the fascist government.'
