Shakil Uzzaman, a member of the Higher Council of the People's Rights Council and the office secretary, demanded a change in the salary structure according to the police hours. He said that DC, UNO or other government officials have a certain time at work, but there is no deadline for police officers' work.
Shakil Uzzaman raised this demand in discussing the formation of an independent police commission of various political parties with the National Unity Commission at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Sunday.
Shakil Uzzaman said that if an urgent work was done at 2pm or 5pm, the police officer in charge or any other police officer had to do duty at or outside the police officer. Therefore, according to the police hours, the salary should be done. At the same time, he demanded to increase the logistic support of the police and arrange for advanced training.
He also said that under the autocratic government, the police will never be public -friendly. In the past, under the fascist autocratic rule, the police have been indiscriminately wronged by the people to implement the political agenda of the party. This structure has to be changed and a separate independent commission should be formed for the police.
